Project Title: Construction of Faleasiu Uta Tank Site and Phase 1 Pipeline
By the end of 2017 a large district in Upolu Island’s north-west inland area, which has never had a water supply of any kind, will have a treated water supply system.
The villages of Sapulu Faleasiu-Uta and Lepale Fasitoo Uta will receive treated bore water via a 25 kilometre network of pipes, tanks and booster pumps.
As of May 2017, the bore and storage tanks were completed with the construction of the first phase of pipe installation beginning in June 2017 and planning for the extension of the network to other areas of Sapulu and Lepale in its final stages.
Both stages are due to be completed by the end of December 2017.
