The Authority offers Field Trips only upon request from schools. Most requested field trips are to our intakes such as Aloa, Fuluasou and Palauli Savaii intake plus our Wastewater Treatment Plant at Sogi.

Our field trips are open to any level however we have been noticing that the only requested field trips is to cater for Year 12 & Years 13 from college and a Science course from the National University of Samoa.

Every field trip is assisted by a representative of the Public Relations unit but always led by a respected engineered from either Urban, Rural or Savaii Operations division.

Every request of field trip is to be requested directly to our General Manager.

In 2021, the Public Relations for the first time initiated a Career day whereby students were welcome to attend at its Vaitele and Salelologa Headquarters. This initiative will be an ongoing activity.

The event is themed “Be a Water Professional” that is initiated for Secondary Level Schools to explore various career paths they can find within the Authority. Career Day is one way that The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning encourages students to explore their interests and passions as an extension of their academic program and in the process better understand themselves, their community, and the world.

Objectives:

The main objectives of the Career day are to provide:

• Insights of SWA services offer and how one can acculturate his or her career path through the services offer.
• Practical exposure of the main investments of the Authority
